Vedic Math

Vedic Math (an ancient Math methodology from India) is the collective name given to a set of sixteen (16) sutras (or formulas) stemming from the Vedic period from 1500 to 800 B.C. These sutras were originally written in Sanskrit. Vedic Math emphasizes the true understanding of the relationship between numbers and numerical symbols.

As children learn Vedic Math, they will discover that math problems may be solved with more than the one “correct” method taught in school. Math is not only about getting the right answer anymore. Besides building “number sense”, Vedic Math is also a way to cultivate critical thinking and problem solving skills in your child.
